The Future of Parking (Question Mark)

Posted by thewrittenone on 21 May 17:32

God bless the Koreans. Not only are they building the future, but their version of it is clean, efficient and visionary.

Their new automated parking system is miles ahead of Europe and the US. According to EcoGeek, ‘The system can fit twice as many cars in the same amount of space and eliminate hours of combined engine use every day so drivers don't have to drive around searching for that elusive space. Drivers pull into a platform and technology does the rest. When people are out of the equation, it eliminates the need for climate control, walkways, elevators and even lighting.’

A little part of me is thinking, ‘isn’t this just encouraging people more and more to drive into the city centre to shop rather than taking public transport?’ That has yet to be proven. What is proven is that this video makes me feel like I’m 13 years old again and I just got my hands on a brand new PlayStation.
