Bit slow on the uptake here, but it looks like the UK will soon begin building thousands of wind turbines as part of a £100bn plan to boost wind energy.
Worrying times ahead. The EIA is predicting a 50% increase in world energy consumption by 2030. ‘;Total energy demand in non-OECD countries is projected to increase by 95 percent, while OECD countries are expected to increase consumption by 24 percent.’
In contrast, Rajendra Pachauri in the Guardian believes that the world’s will to tackle climate change is growing, not least because in the present downturn in the economy.
