We are saved, check out this BBC article. It seems that there is a load of oil and gas under the Arctic ice sheet and luckily its melting rapidly so we will be able to get our hands on it really easily. Phew... no need to panic then, we have sorted it out again, God we are clever!!! I cant say I see it, in fact its quite Ironic. The figure shows the ice sheet in 1980 and then again in 2007, its half the size, all from using fossil fuels in the first place. So underneath the most obvious indicator of the problem, we are hoping to extract more of the problem to burn it and to add to the issue, talk about pooping on your own door step, thats very addictive behaviour is it not????
