It's a great idea and I'm looking forward to it's offical launch so I can get lot's of people from Thame, Oxfordshire signed up!
Couple of ideas...
1. Add the ability to recommend goals to your friends. When there are thousands of goals it'll be easier to get the word out that users sifting through them.
2. A business section. We have a great busiiness community here in Thame and it'd be great to add our businesses on and track how well we are doing. I'd hazard a guess that SEEDA and the other regional development bod's would be happy to help fund this. If you want more details contact me.

I love the copy on this site :) Wins me over every time.
I also like how the discussion boards + stories makes it easy to learn new things and tips from one another.
Looking forward to a localised version of this site and a view that is more city-centric, as I think a lot of the issues that people have can be effectively dealt with in local contexts.
And I'm looking forward to be able to rope my friends in :)

I'm not so sure about the e-mail reminders when people post info re: the same goal. In fact, today I said I completed a goal; with the hope of ending the reminders. I'm sure there is a section for me to turn this feature off but i like them a little bit too. Guess the ending junk mail goal was a little too popular. Maybe today, I'll really do it.
-
ok...i just visited the change your settings feature and I realize that completing a goal will not reduce the mail coming into my in box. I think there are too many settings to choose from and I will have to live with them all for awhile to see what I really want and dont want.
-
Hi Mary, If you feel you are getting too many mails then go to your settings section on your profile page then go into notifications and you can choose your options there currently I've ticked 5 options and that work's out well for me. :-)
-
Hmmm...let me think about it for a day or six. Maybe we can gain momentum with a little time and more great ideas.
-
Like the website design, but I think it's main focus is the UK.
e.g. only "miles" in flights (not that I fly a lot, but I recently added a flight and noticed it was in miles).
I think the site could be bigger! You don't have a lot of users at the moment (compared to other social sites) and I just found you through MacFormat magazine (also available in Belgium luckily)...
Make advertisements to motivate people to join.
Also, expand the goals section. There must be more goals, not only from the userbase. Maybe add links to eco-power sites or eco-shops.Lastly, adding a photo to a story is nice. I would like to have a photo gallery of my completed goals, or a gallery where I can add photos of green work i've done.
When talking about photos: 2MB upload costs a lot of server power in the end (when you have more users). Limit this to 1.2 MB to prevent uploading 5 MP pics.Yours sincerely,
Jean Waucomont

oh yeah, reminders don't come per e-mail to remind me to fill in the weekly electricity and gas comsumption.
Furher, in the "fuels" section, you should also add water.
Everybody uses it and most people even use it to flush their toilet. -
Thanks for the feedback Countpollen, have you tried our new feedback widget?
-
I tried the new feedback widget, though am still a bit confused by it:) Do you prefer us to report of things & problems there?
Under 'ask a question' that pops up automatically or...?Anyway, just thought I'd say it'd be nice to be able to comment on a group conversation even if you're not part of the group, if you're interested in the subject...?
/some groups are for local people only & I don't want to pretend I'm from Brighton!:)/ -
Any issues you may have are best relayed to us through the feedback widget.

EdenBee is great but i think there needs to be a little work done on it.
such as: your goals should be listed on a separate page other than the main members goals list.
The Carbon log should be more detailed and maybe a journal added so you can post photographs and updates on other things you've done for the environment as well.Other than that i love Edenbee and there's no way i'm going to stop using it :-)
