Man, i love burts bees... mm body milk.. mmmmmmm.

CCD, the story... Bee keepers find that all the workers up and disappear leaving the queen behind with a handful of house bees to die off.

Not a new phenomenon, has happened in the past over the ages of beekeeping

American indians called the honey bee the white mans fly annd its arrival in an areas was an indicator of ther coming destruction of the tribes there as the white man was never far behind.

    Possible causes of ccd?
Well if you look at modern commercial practices the reasons this might occur are plentiful

first off commercial beekeepers in the states are guns for hire in the global food market pollination game.

There are regimented hectare of central california given over to single crops

for example the californian almond has cornered the world market. about 80% of almonds now coming from these huge tree factories.

almond trees flower in february. bberes from alll over the states are put on trucks from their last pollination 'gig' and trucked possibly thousands of miles then spread out in their hives at regular intervals in the orchards/factories to pollinate the thousands of trees that will bring the billion dollars of almond revenue into cali.

Oh they have to be tricked slightly to get them g'd up in february as that used to be hyber rest time. No time for hyber rest these days cazuse once they're done in cali they gotta make it to florida.

It's become stressful being a bee

not necesarily the cause though according to the commercial keepers who've been doing this for forty years

there is so much more to say but i feel i've gone on enough.

Fascinating though, international food chain a house of cards held up by an insect.

Also man breeding bees for pollen collection honey creation leads to weaker bees.

its a lot of mans dabbling in the natural order coming home to roost.

    did you know bees dance!

if they find food, when they get back to the hive they do a dance, walking in certain directions certain distances on the hive and vibrating their ass to indicate direction and distance to rtecruit others to come help!!

    enough!
