   Here in Toronto the City (corpo) are considering a levy or even a full ban on paper coffee cups. They are encouraging people to bring their own travel mugs. Starbucks already offers a discount if you bring your own mug and the city is asking other coffee shops to do the same.

   We used to go through so many plastic and paper cups for water and coffee. This is well worth doing.

   We have a program where you buy an official campus mug for $2.50 get the first cup of coffee free. After that it's $1.25 per refill in the campus coffeehaus.

   I'm trying to encourage my co-workers to use these as a substitute for all these throw-away water bottles.

   we are starting a sheme at the IT sligo for all students and staff, I am sure lots of other people can do the same, even if it is just in the local coffeeshop! good luck
