There is a giant farmers market here and produce stands all over the place. I'll only shop there for a little while longer though as my garden is getting ready to bloom

Wannabee, that's actually a great idea!!

I live in the countryside, in the semi-rural surroundings, hills & greenness all around - & damnit! most people seem to buy groceries, especially veggies in the plastic malls, we don't even have a 'proper' farmers' market'.. (the nearest one is 30km away..) Only a semi-market not-every-week, with bread & meats & (unhealthy) sweets & such...
    It's a shame really..
Most people here do garden & have own veggies, but not all..
So this one would certainly be a challenge.. especially if I wanted to find organic stuff, uhm..
    Well, we'll see... :)

I like shopping the local markets when they are open. We have a restaurant that will hold cooking demonstrations using locally grown fruits and veggies, and ever since they started that it seems like our market has gotten more busy.
