Unplug my laptop from the mains over night

I always leave my laptop plugged in during the evening (when I'm not on the EdenBee site of course!) and then forget to unplug it at night so all that charging energy just gets wasted. Unplugging it MUST save energy???

  It would, but if you leave the charger plugged in (as I do) that is still consuming energy.
