Give my drains a non-chemical service
Clear your drains so they run efficiently. Pour half a cup of baking soda and half a cup of vinegar down the plughole to clear any blockages. Fume-free unblocking means less chemicals going into the water supply. You've probably already got the ingredients in the kitchen. Go and give it a try!

Trying it right now... the drain in the kitchen has been running slow for a couple of days now. Added baking soda solution in one sink and vinegar in the other. The bubbling continues...

I read about and used the following drain cleaner successfully: in a pot of boiling water, dissolved 1 cup of baking soda. Just before pouring it down the clogged drain, pour in 1 cup of vinegar. The heat and the foaming action really work!
