Safely dispose of my out-of-date medicines
Out-of-date medicines kept 'just in case' could be dangerous to you and are dangerous to the environment. Take them to a pharmacy for safe disposal so they cannot poison the landfill. Small children are especially likely to try out fun looking stuff from the bathroom cabinet so don't take risks. "I'm out-of-date antibiotics, get me out of here!"

I actually donate mine to the local Hospice program if my local pharmacy doesn't have a collection / recycle plan for old medicines.
This came in very handy after my dad died of cancer and we had to dispose of all of his cancer medications. An EMT friend of mine suggested we call Hospice and we were set. They told us what to do and where to drop them off.
