Take my old clothes to a charity shop

We've all made mistakes. The lurid green satin miniskirt, the blouse that looked so fab on the shop assistant, the shoes that pinch or the trousers that will absolutely fit after a diet. Don't let them shame you every time you open the wardrobe. Donate them to your local charity shop. The charity shop makes money, you reduce waste and someone finds the perfect green satin miniskirt to wear out on Friday night.

I'm still working on this one. I want to loose weight first and then get rid of everything to charity so there's some nice things. :-)

In Germany, I don't even have to go to a charity shop. The Red Cross comes to every house in my town every two months.

I bring all my (still good-enough) cloths to the second hand shop, and all my cloths come from there (and ebay- used cloths only)...apart from socks and underwear.
I recon you get much more interesting stuff and sometimes some wonderfull vintage pieces!
plus you dont have to worry about where it came from and who made it!

Actually the charity shop lost out a bit as I gave all my child's too-small clothes to a friend with a younger son. He was delighted! She does the same thing with all her hand-me-downs too.

I was brought up to be a bit of a hoarder, and when my wife and I met when I was in my mid-twenties I'm ashamed to say that I still had clothes from my teens in my wardrobe. I wasn't necessarily *wearing* them, but I certainly wasn't getting rid of them. These days I have no hesitation but to take clothes I no longer wear to the charity shop. Though I do miss those orange trousers... ;-)
