Walk instead of driving my car for short journeys.
Could you just pop out to the corner shop? We're short of milk. Oh wait, don't drive. It's much more environmentally friendly to walk and the fresh air will do you some good. 1 in 3 journeys in this country are under a mile so really there is no need to grab your car keys. The money you save on petrol will pay for the milk.

It's so much easier to do this in these summer months and often it is a time saver...last week I was running late for a meeting so I decided to drive into town(big mistake), I saw a woman walking along Manor street..then at the lights as I was about to cross over Parliament bridge then finally after driving around looking for parking space I arrived at my destination she was there in the same room with her food already ordered...I was still late and had to pay for parking...traffic was slow and I missed my chance of a nice brisk walk!I'll try to walk or take the bus more and more all the time!
